About this calculator

Satoshis are how Bitcoin was always meant to be counted at street level: 100 million of them per coin means everyday sums have sensible numbers again. Wallets, tipping apps and Lightning payments quote sats, and 'stacking sats' became shorthand for the DCA habit.

The converter is deliberately price-agnostic: paste the price from your own exchange and you get an exact figure with no stale feed in the middle. For planning regular purchases in sats, pair it with the Crypto DCA calculator one page over.

Questions fréquentes

What is a satoshi?

The smallest unit of bitcoin — one hundred-millionth of a coin, named after Bitcoin's creator.

Why count in sats?

Whole bitcoins became expensive; sats make small amounts readable. '10,000 sats' is easier than '0.0001 BTC'.

Is the price live?

No — you enter the current price from your exchange, so the tool works with any market and any moment.

Conseils

  • Never invest more than you can afford to lose — crypto is volatile.
  • Self-custody means responsibility: back up your seed phrase offline.
  • Check fees and spreads — they quietly eat small trades.
